Maybe because I haven't done it yet, and maybe after I'll feel like it was actually great for him/me as some people have flagged, but right now it's just hard to digest someone else spending more

Yep. Can't agree more. I was shocked to discover recently that it was really important to me to be there when O gets off the bus from school every day.

Damn it's hard. But I'm with areyoukiddingme - get on it! Our experience with an in home daycare has been nothing but awesome. After nearly 6 years they are extended family and our go to people for all our parenting questions. They have made me a better mother, and made my 6 year old a better kid.
