I'm being lectured by DH's entire family about refusing the flu and H1N1 vaccine. My body and my baby, if I don't want them I don't have to get them (plus my OB told me not to get the H1N1)

It isn't fun to be pregnant and sick, but you do create anti-bodies that will help protect Tiny B.

Oh, I feel for you!! I got a cold at exactly the same point in my pregnancy. It was terrible. I began having contractions too, frequently, at that time. They were just the BH ones, and I'm pretty sure it was because I was dehydrated. But it wasn't fun. I'm sorry. Your system is weak right now so take extra good care of yourself!!!!!

I am not only pregnant, I also have asthma, which is normally totally under control without meds. But at 36 weeks pregnant I have lungs that are about 5 inches tall it seems like. And when your lungs are 5 inches tall and you have asthma things ain't pretty, even if it's normally totally OK.

The problem is that because your decisions affect the baby - whether or not you get the shot won't matter. If you get sick you will STILL question your decision. You will play the "what if" game - because you are a good mother and care about your baby. Unfortunately, there is no winning with this game. Sorry.
