At 2 years old, my kid plays me like a violin at bedtime. Because he knows that if he cries himself hoarse, Mommy comes back and gives him snuggles and hugs.

With J? He protests a bit, but it's over very quickly.

I could never do sleep training. Because the guilt in that 5-15 minutes was too much for me.

Oh man.. I could've written this post. I agree w/ a video monitor being handy. I was lucky to inherit one from a SIL and it's helped a bunch at the sleep thing, but there were plenty times I broke my own rules just so we could get some peace! Get ideas from the books and "experts" and then modify it to what you 3 can do and put up with. Sending sleep vibes!!
