Five months post-partum, I can finally say I'm getting my shit together. And by shit, I mean ACT. And by act, I mean EXERCISE. Yea, I'm making more of an effort to cook again, and yea I'm making a LOT more effort to shower regularly (my hygiene wasn't something to be proud of for awhile there), but the thing that's getting me all pumped up again is the exercise.
Because way back in December, I wrote about ALL the ways I was going to get my shit together come January, and how life was going to be PEACHY as I got my body - and my ASS - back in a snap. Well way back in December I was full of shit and had no idea just how LONG this sleep deprivation was going to go on for.
Either way, it's finally getting better (and no, I'm not referring to the nap-training as I'm not going to weigh in on that until it's been a few more days), and I'M finally getting better. Plus that ass issue I've got? Well with just adding that extra run in every week, it's down an INCH! And those last couple pounds? GONE! The doughiness is still there, but that's next on the list.
I'm going to at least one Fit4Two class a week (and thinking I'll try adding a second!), I'm walking most days, and I'm running three times a week as often as I can (sometimes I still only run twice). So while I'm not QUITE where I wanna be with the running, I AM finally working on it, and it IS finally scheduled, which makes it all FEEL like it's finally coming together.
Plus frankly, it's coming together with a TWENTY POUND stroller and a FIFTEEN POUND child, which is NOTHING like what I was doing before - it's a HELL of a lot harder. Which means sometimes I need me a pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as a post-run reward. Which means I need to do ANOTHER run to work off that reward.

If Ass Watch has begun, we must have ass pictures so we can see the difference as it shrinks.
Now that the weather is getting nicer, I'm running out of excuses for Day 1 of Ass Watch 2010. You've inspired me!
Oh, you've got me so excited to load our baby into the jogging stroller. She is 4 months and oh so close.
You think baby boy is a load to push now? Wait until he is 3-ish and about 40 pounds! I loved running with our older daughter, but was SO ready for her to be able to ride along next to us on her bike when we ran.
I'm hoping that baby girl in the stroller will seem light, but considering my winter spent nursing on the couch I'm sure the stroller will kick my ass. Bring it on!
Kristin, I'll show after pics. I dunno re the before ones:-)
Jamie, we can do it!!!
Heather, good luck! D had really good head control and I'd done a lot of couch-surfing so bit the bullet finally. It's still hard with the stroller but as you said, it's only going to get harder so I'm just going, forcing myself.
