Nothing to See Here Folks

Just a quickie to say the doc confirmed that no, I probably will NOT have this kid this week. I'm still totally closed up, and Tiny B is at -2 (apparently they go -3, -2, -1, to 0, and 0 is "go").

Oddly, at 40w5d I'm back to measuring at 37weeks, but meh, last night the kid was moving up a STORM, and today the doc said all is TICKETY-BOO. So if he's happy baking, I'm happy waiting. While yea, I'm kinda uncomfortable now, and there are definitely MOMENTS where I'm done with all this, it's all good for the most part, so waiting until next week to see what happens (or to see if we have to make decisions) is totally fine with me.

sometime a little extra time is nice before jumping into a major life transition ;)

*taps belly* Hey, kid? Let's get a move on. There's a whole world of internet people waiting to gush over you.

If you end up having to induce, I highly recommend using acupuncture over pitocin. It's really effective most of the time-- worked for me!

See, now I'm get anxious too - and every time you pop up in my reader, I'm all 'THIS IS IT!' and then I am disappointed. Come on Tiny B! I can't take the stress!

Come on Tiny B, we are all ready to meet you.

I *would* say that anything could actually happen at any time still - but if someone said that to me I would want to punch them in the face so I'm not going to say that.

Just hope you are as comfortable as you can be, you sound fairly relaxed and calm still, always a good thing.

I remember those final few days before delivery. I was so excited and nervous...all at the same time.

I'm excited for you and can't wait for the good news!

DAMMIT. Every update I see I click RIGHT OVER in the hopes that Tiny B has made the appearance.

Glad everything is Tickety-Boo.

And Dr. Grumbles is right. A little time isn't neccessarily a bad thing.

Waiting with bated breath...

I am with LUna, your cervix is just totally fit and not ready to get all loosy goosy....ahh little B just likes where he is (my husband was a few weeks past his due date - but that was back in the day).

Whatever you do, plan some fun for the weekend. I spent the weekend when I was one week overdue sitting at home and waiting. Which made me bored and grumpy. And try to sleep if you are still able. Those first couple weeks are tough.

I love Kymberli's comment!

All I can say is, it must be all comfy and hospitable in there. :)

Before you know it he'll be here and you won't know what life was like before him. A week goes by pretty quick! Just -blink- and he will be here! Surreal!!
