The miscellaneous spurts and blurbs of a [formerly infertile] new mama, living by the beach, with a husband who makes her laugh almost every single day.

Share n' Tellin' It

Playing along again with Mel, below's my latest weekly installment of Show n' Tellin' It. You can find my other installments here, and more lovely speakers here. However, THIS installment, is going to mix things up a bit - cuz I'm Share n' Tellin' It, not Show n' Tellin' It.

This song, well it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Not cuz it's all SHAKE YOUR BOOTY kinda music. Not cuz it's all FUNKIFY SISTA kinda music. But cuz it's the song the husband laughed his ASS off to, watching me shake my BOOTY to, in front of our VERY first Christmas tree, on our wedding night.

And for me, this song is just about so much that's US. It's about us having our wedding last minute on a Sunday night in December, choosing that night only cuz it DIDN'T rain. It's about us inviting 5 friends only, and getting EACH and EVERY one of those 5 friends good and drunk. It's about us getting married under my favorite tree on this PLANET, the tree where we had our first date, the tree I loved long BEFORE we had our first date.

It's about our marriage starting off with LAUGHTER and DANCING, starting off in our VERY OWN living room, and starting off with a trend that to this VERY DAY, still hasn't stopped - him calling me his beautiful wife.

Mostly, it's about him seeing through me being drunk out of my freakin' TREE, believing in MY head I was THE sexiest dancer to EVER shake her booty, and him finding me attractive not IN SPITE of all that, but BECAUSE of all that. It's about him THEN, and still NOW, seeing me for who I am, not for WHAT I do, or HOW I do it. It's about me being the luckiest girl on earth.

I love this post!

NCLM has been wonderful so far -- in part because I get to travel outside of my comfort zone to visit all these places and people that I've been seeing for months now...

Love the song too!

I'll be back!
