No wait, make that things WE'VE decided lately, cuz yea, I do involve him in SOME of our life plans. But just some. The rest he gets in the way of...
- We like wine, a LOT. No matter how good we are with the food we shove down our throats, and the exercise that has us running up and down the STEEPEST hills in Vancouver, we like ourselves some wine with dinner. With dessert. With the sun. The moon. Oh, and the stars too.
- "Take some time and slow down" is fertile-speak for "Relax, THAT'S how you make babies."
- Our China trip will only be SEMI-planned. Planned enough that we know we're going to Hong Kong for the conference, Beijing to walk the Wall (for hours and hours), and Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat - the rest, NO IDEA. How long in each place? NO IDEA. How we'll get to each place? NO IDEA. And that's EXACTLY how I want it, cuz as a Project Manager IRL, planning the entire trip is just too much for me. I need to NOT wear a watch. I need to NOT care what day it is. I need to NOT overthink things.
- We're going to do a FET. Yup, a FET. Our one and only FET cuz we've only got two buggers frozen, but a FET. Fuck. I'll probably start the down-reg on the trip, and come back and do the transfer in August. I called the clinic, the timing works, what the hell right?
- I want a new tattoo. So does the husband, but I want it MORE, cuz I'm just THAT much cooler than he is.
- Taking a break from talking about our next kid steps has been a very VERY nice break. Apparently an ANGRY break, but a nice break none-the-less, cuz very VERY little thought or discussion went into the FET decision, and that's kinda how I need it to be right now.
- While I may be an IF-veteran who can jam my OWN needles into my OWN belly, I still hate real needles. And by REAL needles, I mean needles MOST people have to get. Like when we went and got our travel shots last night and the bitch jammed it RIGHT INTO MY SHOULDER MUSCLE. Right then and there I decided needles are STILL not fun.
- "Maybe once you're back from your trip and in fresh spirits, it'll all come together for you" is ALSO fertile-speak for "Relax, THAT'S how you make babies."
- Calliope rocks. Just WAIT til you see what's brewing!!!

decisions are good. especially when you've taken your time to make them. I like wine too. a lot.
my aunt and uncle just returned from 3 wks in china and loved guilin, where those funky craggy rocks are, they said it was beautiful. travel is grand.
are you getting a cool new header? can't wait to see it.

But in all seriousness, decisions are good things and so are breaks. Especially breaks that involve an awesome trip to China. Have I mentioned how jealous I am???
Decisions are good, I'm with you, DH and I we like our wine, wine is good, like decisions, good.
Dh and I don't analyze or talk about next steps too much, it's more like, the doc saying here is what we do next, such as next we do hysteroscopy, next we try to grow some lining for that dam FET.
I like it that we don't over analyze, makes it feel more normalish.
I heart your decisions...and Im so glad you put wine at #1. You have your priorities straight!
It's always great to be able to make decisions, and it's even better to leave some things up to "whatever". I love your "plan" for your China trip! That just sounds about perfect to me!

Juicy, I think I'm gonna get some digits down one of my arms - digits from the latitude/longitude of a couple places that have meaning to me. Angelina has a tattoo here and I love the placement, but I can't get kids' names yet so I'll do it slightly different. Do you know what you're getting?
Your plans sound like you have a lot going! Good for you, my husband just got back from China and loved it. He really wants to take me with him someday. He had to go for work. I agree, wine is good...very good. When my husband and I got back from 3 weeks in France last year, I looked back at how much wine we had drank and it was crazy, but so fun. Wine is good. And so is vacation without a schedule! Have fun in China!! :) And if your suitcase is a little heavier, it is most definitly not because I've crawled in.

It's great to make decisions - such a sense of accomplishment. We are also doing an FET this summer - our first, and we only have 2 frozen embryos. Here's to wishing both of us success!
